Đầm Trầu Beach sits right next to Côn Đảo (Cỏ Ống) airport, about 14–15 km from the main town. Its white sand curves around clear blue water, and it is quieter than the beaches near town.
What makes Đầm Trầu special is the runway just behind the beach: when a flight comes in, the plane passes low over the shore. If you want to photograph it, check the day's flight schedule first.
The beach is easy to reach by scooter or car. There are fewer services than in town, so bring water, a hat and sunscreen.
